KITE’s raison d’être is to craft young, tech savvy entrepreneurs, through its innovative, interdisciplinary degree programs, both at undergraduate and graduate levels, for the emerging startup ecosystems and the new global creative economy. KITEx is one such initiative of the Institute to ensure the entire Pakistani ecosystem in nurtured.

ABOUT KITEx

KITEx is a series of Startup Challenges designed to exponentially boost the capabilities (pitching, marketing, fundraising, networking, product refinement, sales, etc) of the Pakistani startups and hence the associated ecosystem. It is a six day event, comprising of four days of intensive boot camp style training and mentoring, and two days of multi-round pitching competition. There is usually a big incentive for the winning teams, like spending a month in a foreign accelerator with all expenses paid, for four to six people, depending upon the specific iteration of the challenge. There are multiple categories to encourage and enhance capacity for all types of startups, not necessarily only tech-startups. Through these challenges we bring together all the stakeholders of the ecosystem – government, foreign partners, investors, mentors, trainers, students, academics, industrial partners, etc. This event is open to all; it is not restricted to only KITE students, faculty, staff or alumni.
